◽️Stuffed Lotus Root Patties (Japanese-style)
📝 Ingredients
Main
• Lotus root … 300g
• Ground meat (pork or chicken) … 300g
• Green onion … to taste
• Ginger … a little
Sweet-Savory Sauce
• Soy sauce … 2 tbsp
• Mirin (sweet rice wine) … 1 tbsp
• Sugar … 1/2 tbsp
• Sake … 1/2 tbsp
• Honey … a small amount (optional, for richness)
💡 Tips
• Sandwich the meat firmly between two lotus slices
• Sear both sides, then cover and cook through on low heat
• Simmer in sauce until nicely glazed and glossy!
