’90s VHS – L’oiseau Bleu (青い鳥) Episode 9 (1997)
This is from a recently unearthed VHS tape of Japanese broadcast TV from 1997. This is episode 9 (“New Journey”) of the popular drama L’oiseau Bleu (青い鳥/Aoi Tori/Blue Bird) starring Toyokawa Etsushi and Natsukawa Yui. The show aired on TBS from Oct. 10, 1997 to December 19, 1997. Music by S.E.N.S. (センス).
It includes the commercial breaks as aired in 1997.
Apparently this is more readily available than some of the other shows I’ve posted from these tapes, so I assume there are better ways to watch it (streaming services, etc.) This copy is more to preserve the feel of rushing to hit record on the VHS on a Friday night in late 1997.
