The Problem These idols face constant online harassment. They are called weak, gay, and even experience racism. We’ve all seen what happened to Stray Kids at the Met Gala, and the ongoing hate BTS and BLACKPINK receive. Every day, I come across at least 4-5 videos hating on BTS, comparing them to football players, calling them "kpoop," and celebrating being a BTS hater.
Step 1: Stop Fighting Among Ourselves We need to stop fighting among different K-pop fandoms. Arguing about which group is better—whether BTS, BLACKPINK, or another—only weakens us. We must unite instead of tearing each other down.
Step 2: Do Not Engage with Haters If you see a hateful video, DO NOT REACT. Do not comment—neither to defend nor to argue. Do not reply to hateful comments. Just report the video and move on. For example, if you see a video comparing BTS and Ronaldo in a disrespectful way, don’t engage. Just report it and leave.
It comes off as immature and makes people think the K-pop fandom is just teenage girls. Stop creating cringe edits and fanfictions (especially those overly dramatic or unrealistic ones). It only fuels the stereotype that ARMYs and BTS are cringe.
Step 4: Ignore the "Chads" and "Sigmas" These so-called chads and sigmas hate on K-pop to get a reaction. The more you respond, the more they create such content. Stop giving them attention.
