And of course, Tiananmen Square, one of the largest public squares in the world, offers a sense of awe with its historical significance. These places are must-visits and truly capture the essence of Beijing's cultural heritage!
      you talked about in Tiananmen Square why people gathers what I remember in 2000, at closing time there was parade of soldiers in both compounds of Tiananmen Square, which was worth viewing scene, i think you might missed it. The parade of soldiers at Tiananmen Square is such a unique and powerful moment. Watching them march with precision as part of the changing of the guard is definitely a sight worth witnessing, especially when you're there during the evening! It's one of those moments that really captures the discipline and historical depth of China.

      Foreigners can buy tickets for the Forbidden Palace on the day. They reserve some tickets daily for those with foreign passports.
