  1. I suspect you have a problem with electrolysis. That kind of corrosion is caused by failed bonding of the metal parts in contact with the saltwater, as well as by stray currents in the boat. Unfortunately one does not see the problem until the metal wall is weakened and it perforates like swiss cheese. When you haul out the boat have an experienced yacht electrician check all the bonding (metal strips connecting the thru hulls and all other metals) and also make sure you have sacrificial zincs protecting the heat exchanger as well as the prop and shaft . Joys of owning a boat!

  2. Thank you for bringing us along on your amazing adventures and allowing us to experience the beauty of family life with you. What a blessing and a joy to be allowed to tag along. Such joy.🥰🙏

  3. Surprised it doesn't give a low coolant alarm before the over temperature alarm. Had a radiator leak once. Those were exciting times.

  4. Lovely to see something of that beautiful coastline. When we had our yacht I always said that it was like standing in a cold shower wearing bulky clothes ripping up £50 notes. Glad to see that you have managed that without the bulky clothes and shower😂

  5. Thank you for sharing your vacation with your Followers. This video is VERY special to me because I grew up sailing the Caribbean, so I love your sailboat. It brings be back sweet memories of my father. It is also a special video because my husband and I are looking to retire in France. I specifically dream of this exact region. I am in love with the French countryside and St. Malo area. I have never been, but with Google Maps and the internet I have no doubt. We hope to be there in less than 2 yrs.
Thank you for all the smiles you bring to your viewers. Best wishes!

  6. Ziggy’s excitement at seeing his family back home made me teary- such joy! Thank you for sharing your ups and downs of sailing, despite the challenges you seemed to stay positive and enjoyed your time as a beautiful family ❤

  7. Phillip really loves sailing and you are so wonderful as a family to support that. I joined my husband on the water and as we say jo8ned the crew permanently here in Australia. We had many years racing on Lake Macquarie and cruising off shore. Now retired on a farm inland I am enjoying your travels.

  8. When you were talking about buying a boat 🚤 I was hoping you would knew how fun it could be , but also all the negatives, like bad weather, engine problems, etc etc .we have had boats all our life, the life experience is wonderful, specially in Vancouver Canada where we have so many Canadian Islands and USA islands, and going north to Desolation Sound, which is paradise , also the sea life we encounter whales, sea lions, seals, dolphins etc etc and eating prawns, crabs oysters 🦪 all magnificent life, but when something goes wrong with the weather or the boat . It is a wonderful life for kids , but a very expensive hobby . They say here that having a boat is “like having a hole in the water where you pour money 💰into .

  9. You did Anna dirty with that thumb nail. She so much more beautiful than that, she is in fact really beautiful. I know what I sound like, an as*h*ole, but if that was me I would be so upset. Someone can be distressed and not have to look, dare I say not the greatest.

  10. Thank you so much for taking us along on the sailing adventure and sightseeing. Challenges are a part of an travel and life in general. You handled it with grace. Glad the electrics wiring 😉 didn’t have anything to do with the motor issues. Ziggy is so happy you are home. 🐾

  11. Just rest and acknowledge the location of sailing you've ventured in, is one of the toughest to pass through in where even my brother who criss crossed oceans, didn't like to go except in a dinghy 😂. Now, remains "pointe du raz" which I suggest you detour way into Atlantic ocean rather than thinking of sailing through too.

Scandinavian sailing is an experience on its own, the only place where anchoring is truly magic.

  12. We are so lucky to share our lives with doggos, they're the best. I felt Ziggy's joy and happiness watching him greet you and the girls upon arriving home. Precious ❤

  13. I love your channel, and which sailing or boat trip comes without any problems? I am partly driving a wheelchair nowadays, because of my back, but watching your sailing and time at sea, bring back lovely memories, and my heart grow big. The feeling of freedom at sea, nothing can compare to that. Hugs from Norway❤ and thanks.🎉

  14. The most relaxing thing in the world is to stretch out in the cockpit wrapped up in a large blanket with a cushion under your head while the boat is heeling. Envy those girls.

  15. I would like to recommend a book for you: Anthony Doerr, All the light we cannot see. Saint
    – Malo is a scene of this book. Wonderful story!

  16. Despite the challenges you faced you both ( wonderful parents , no Phillip you did not look like that statue , my granddaughter does the same teasing ) you pivoted and made wonderful decisions. Your daughters are learning so much about life. This sailing summer taught them about problem solving, patience and of course beauty. As a grandmother of 3 I enjoyed seeing Anna’s parents reunited with their grandchildren and of course Ziggy ! The unconditional love of a dog. Thank you for sharing.

  17. Welcome to the world of sailing. If you thought the chateau was a money pit, your sailboat will match it and more. But…. it is worth it. Sailing is the best!

  18. loved:
seeing Ziggy so excited to have his hoomans back…
the music used in this episode
the views of the beautiful places you visited, and the bright blue seas….

  19. there are solar cells that made of a cloth like material I wonder if that could be incorporated into the sales

  20. Ça fait tout bizarre de vous voir dans notre coin (St Cast, St Malo). Ravie que vous ayez apprécié malgré les problèmes de moteur.

  21. You definitely know how to turn lemons into lemonade! Thank you for taking us on your adventures and we look forward to your surprise! Rest for now.💖
