Hello, this is POBEE! Today, I’m going to talk about the story and review of the new Assassin’s Creed game, Shadows. This isn’t just a review, I’ll be touching your hair and chatting comfortably. Oh, why am I touching your hair? Actually, when I was little, my older brother would touch my hair while I slept. Maybe because that habit stuck with me, when someone touches my hair, I feel good and relaxed. That’s why I like the sound of my hair being touched. Okay, now let’s get started with the full Assassin’s Creed Shadows review! There will be a lot of spoilers, so if you don’t want to be spoiled, please watch the previous video first. I assume you’re familiar with the Assassin’s Creed series, so I’ll focus on the story of this game, Shadows. I hope you don’t criticize me for looking down on the script. Thank you for your understanding. Let’s begin the story. Bye bye! The game is set in Japan’s Sengoku period. The main character, Yasuke, is originally Portuguese, and his real name is Diogu . For some reason, Yasuke is fatally wounded, but is saved by Jesuit missionary Luis Frois . Yasuke recovers by Luis’s side and becomes his bodyguard. Luis and Valignano go to meet Oda Nobunaga for missionary purposes, and Yasuke joins them. Nobunaga takes notice of Yasuke and demands that he be given to him as a condition for allowing him to proselytize. Thus, Yasuke becomes a samurai and a general under Oda Nobunaga, leading his troops to Iga during the Second Iga Rebellion. Another protagonist, Naoe, is the only daughter of a prominent shinobi family in the Iga region. She lived with her father and underwent rigorous shinobi training, but her father wanted her to live a safe life and avoid dangerous endeavors. However, Naoe wasn’t the kind of daughter who listened to her father’s advice. She was a very assertive girl, and often clashed with him. In fact, Naoe was raised by her father, who gave her as much love as he could. Naoe lived happily in Iga village until a crisis struck. This is a common situation for protagonists. The game wouldn’t have been complete without a happy ending. Oda Nobunaga’s second son, Oda Nobukatsu, led an army to Iga Province, sparking the Iga Rebellion. At the time of the First Iga War, Naoe was still young, but her pride as a shinobi prevented her from remaining confined to her village. She begged her grandmother to join her in the fight. The old lady was the neighbor who took care of Naoe, and she was once a shinobi. Even though she’s a grandmother, she’s a villager who must never be ignored. Originally, she was ordered to protect her grandmother and the villagers, but Naoe’s earnest desire led her to join the battlefield. Despite her young age, Naoe’s fighting prowess was so remarkable that she could defeat even warrior-level enemies, and the First War ended with victory for the Iga nation. However, after being defeated in the first war, Nobunaga personally led an army and invaded Iga Province again a few years later. This was the start of the second war . As the overwhelming force pushed into Naoe’s village, Naoe’s father entrusted his daughter with the task of guarding a box in a tomb along with his assassination sword. He then departed for the battlefield. Naoe followed her father’s orders and went to the tomb to retrieve the box, but was badly injured by a samurai who followed her and stole the box. Fortunately, her father was late in rescuing Naoe and took her to the house of Tomi, a friend of hers. At Tomi’s house, Naoe healed her wounds, learned the location of the box from Tomi, and set out to retrieve it again. Then, she assassinated the man who took the box. This is it! It’s a ninja! This is what I wanted! Assassin assassination mode begins! Maybe it’s because I’m still unfamiliar with it, but I assassinated someone in a place with too many enemies and had to run away. Assassinations are supposed to be done quietly, you know? It’s supposed to be hit and run… but Naoe did it too openly. He was too busy running away. Naoe barely escapes the castle, but is shot, falls, and has her box stolen again. Naoe’s father comes to rescue her, who finds himself in a fight against masked spirits of unknown identities. He’s the ultimate fighter, as expected from a shinobi clan leader. He appears to have the upper hand, even cutting off one spirit’s ear, but ultimately, the enemy outnumbers him and he’s killed. Naoe witnesses her father’s death in a hazy state of consciousness. It’s a devastating blow. Naoe faints, and the masked men don’t kill her. Perhaps they thought she was dead. This concludes the prologue, and the main story begins. Naoe is badly injured and rescued by a monk named Sogen. Sogen lives with a young boy named Junjiro, who is initially terrified of Naoe. Junjiro is a talented artist and skilled with his hands, but among his drawings, there was a frightening one featuring a goblin-like woman. Naoe discovers it, and when I first saw it, I thought, “Huh? Is that you?” But Naoe didn’t know it was him. Anyway, Junjiro receives a kintsugi, a musical instrument that Naoe’s father cherished, but it breaks while fighting a group of unknown masked people. Porcelain? It’s a fragile material . Junjiro wonderfully fixes it, and Naoe gradually opens up to Junjiro, and Junjiro no longer fears Naoe and begins to treat her kindly. Naoe recovers from her injuries here and meets Tomi again. She uses Tomi’s house as her hideout. Naoe plans revenge on the spirits who killed her father and stole the box. Meanwhile, Sogen leaves on a pilgrimage, asking Naoe to look after Junjiro. Sogen. The monk who saved Naoe. Naoe is worried because of his old age. Naoe draws a picture of Hakkishu, the man who killed her father. Upon seeing this, Tomi advises her to visit the craftsman in the Sakai market to find out information about the golden gun. He also tells her to seek help from a blacksmith in Sakai named Heiji. Upon arriving in Sakai, Naoe encounters Heiji, who has been beaten by soldiers. Heiji has survived the near-death experience, but he feels no joy or relief. It turns out that Heiji’s parents were the best tobacco sword craftsmen in Sakai, but they were murdered . After that, Heiji lost his emotions and stopped making swords. Naoe asks Heiji, “Tomi and I need your help, so come join us at the hideout.” Heiji readily accepts and goes with him to the hideout in Settsu. The hideout finally has a blacksmith! Through Heiji, you can strengthen the weapons you’ve acquired, imprint abilities, and disassemble equipment to obtain strengthening materials. After recruiting Heiji, Naoe explores the town to get information on the golden gun related to the vengeful spirits who killed her father. During this process, she overhears merchants arguing over a letter, and ends up stealing it. When she tries to buy it with money, they demand more and refuse to give it to her, so she has no choice but to kill them… Hehe. The letter asks that she order the gun from Oda Nobunaga in exchange for 30 silver bars, and asks that she attend a tea ceremony hosted by Sokyu, the Oda tea master. Since the setting is Japan… it’s difficult to say the names. Please excuse the stuttering . I am lacking. Please understand. With this letter in hand, Naoe goes to Sokyu’s son, disguising himself as a Nagasaki merchant, and asks for permission to attend the tea ceremony. He also says that he would like to meet a woman who runs a gun business in Sakai. After receiving permission to attend the tea ceremony, Naoe goes to Sen no Rikyu to prepare tea ceremony etiquette and attire. Sen no Rikyu is a tea ceremony teacher like Sokyu, but their philosophies on tea are different, and he doesn’t like Sokyu very much. Haha. Sen no Rikyu kindly provides Naoe with tea ceremony etiquette and even a gift to bring to the tea ceremony. I think, “This person is really a kind person, isn’t he?” After attending the tea ceremony, Naoe wins Sokyu’s favor thanks to the etiquette she learned. However, at this time, she meets Akechi Mitsuhide, a vassal of Lord Oda, and to be honest, I was a little nervous… Fortunately, she was able to attend the tea ceremony without being caught. Naoe must find the Hakkishu among the women attending the tea ceremony. She meets a woman named Wakasa, who works at Osaka Castle. Wakasa seems more rough and ambitious than the other women, and Naoe becomes suspicious of her. Wakasa invites Naoe to her house. “Let’s take off our masks and talk.” A mask… Hakkishu wear masks, after all. “It’s you?” Upon arriving at Wakasa’s house, Naoe discovers a musket in her premises. Sure enough, isn’t it? Wakasa boasts of her ambitions and invites Naoe to share some sakai with her. Will Naoe accept? They confront Wakasa, holding the musket, and Naoe asks for the location of the chest, but Wakasa refuses to answer. So there’s no reason to keep her alive, right? “Yeah, die.” Eventually, Naoe kills Wakasa with a headshot, taking one step closer to avenging her father. When Naoe tells Tomi that she killed Wakasa (the gunwoman), Tomi relays a strange message: “Akechi Mitsuhide, a close associate of Oda Nobunaga, wants to meet with Naoe.” Tomi warns her, “It could be a trap,” but Naoe says she has nothing to fear now. Akechi suggests they meet at the place where he committed his first murder. Naoe remembers the place where he killed the first masked spirit and tries to go, but Junjiro suddenly trembles and pleads, “That place is too dangerous. Promise me not to go there.” However, Naoe had no choice but to go to meet Mitsuhide to avenge her father. Mitsuhide had arrived there in advance and was waiting for Naoe, and he made a request to Naoe right there: “Kill Nobunaga.” Mitsuhide explains that Nobunaga shed much blood, but in the tea ceremony, every drop is precious, and he spilled his mother’s blood without hesitation. From what he said, it seems Nobunaga murdered Mitsuhide’s mother. Currently, Nobunaga is enjoying a tea ceremony at Honnō-ji Temple, under lax security, believing he is untouchable. Naoe asks, “Then why don’t we just send troops and drag him out?” but Mitsuhide replies, “We should kill Nobunaga ourselves and bring his body back.” This shows how deeply Mitsuhide hates Nobunaga. However, Naoe doesn’t trust Mitsuhide. Mitsuhide tells Naoe, “You’re also chasing the Hakkishū, an unknown organization. I’m also looking for them.” He then reveals that the leader of the Hakkishū is Oda Nobunaga, and that it was Nobunaga who ordered Naoe to kill her father. Mitsuhide also shows Naoe the vengeful mask worn by the leader, saying, “Nobunaga was very pleased that you accomplished your mission,” stimulating Naoe’s desire for revenge. Thus, Naoe joins forces with Mitsuhide and heads to Honnō-ji Temple. When Oda learns of the enemy invasion, he orders his men to flee, but Naoe watches with a puzzled expression. Finally, Oda Nobunaga, left alone, confronts Naoe and engages in a duel. However, he is subdued by Nobunaga’s samurai, Yasuke. During the encounter, Yasuke sees Naoe’s assassination sword and, strangely, fails to kill him. Finally, our second protagonist, Yasuke, appears! The game alternates between Naoe and Yasuke’s stories. When I was writing the script, I agonized over whose story should begin. I just wrote it as the game flowed. I debated a lot about which story to write first, but this is how I came up with the storyline. Nobunaga orders Yasuke to kill Naoe, but Yasuke refuses for some reason. During this moment, Naoe tells Nobunaga, “You Hakkishu stole the chest. Give it back.” Nobunaga says this is the first time he’s heard such a thing. That’s right. Mitsuhide lied. Rather, Mitsuhide was the true leader of the Hakkishu, and the one who ordered Naoe to kill her father and steal the chest. Mitsuhide… you acted well, didn’t you? You act better than me. I’m sorry. Nobunaga says that although much blood was shed, he had no other choice because other clans were already after him. He wants to commit seppuku and be burned along with the Honnoji Shrine so that Mitsuhide cannot have his body. Yasuke tries to stop him, but Nobunaga pleads with him, “Please protect my honor.” Why? He should run away… He should live… It’s sad. In the end, Nobunaga says his final goodbyes, and Yasuke helps his lord take his last breath. Naoe, mentally broken, runs away. Mitsuhide, who arrived late, orders Priest Louis to “take Yasuke back to where he came from” and flees the scene. It seems that he thought Yasuke was a burden to him because of his strong strength and fighting prowess, so he wanted to send him away . Priest Louis sets Yasuke free. … Bad guy Mitsuhide ㅠㅠ Naoe, who returned to the sanctuary, confesses to Tommy about what happened at Honnoji and feels a lot of self-reproach. Tommy tells Naoe to cheer up and make things right, and advises him to go to Katano to search for clues. But… the biggest problem is that Junjiro has run away. “Where did Junjiro go…?” Naoe is deeply worried, but Tommy promises to work hard to find Junjiro with the villagers and tells Naoe to focus on finding clues. Naoe arrives in Katano, but something smells strange. It smells like something burnt. The culprit is… Junjiro! For some reason, Junjiro was alone in Katano. Junjiro, you really searched for him… ” If it were my real brother, I would have hit him once. “My sister found you!” This is how the enemies somehow found out and entered Katano. Even in the tense situation where the enemies are invading Katano, Junjiro doesn’t move an inch and seems to be deep in thought. Then! In the dark and pouring rain, Yasuke confidently appears alone at Katano Castle! The scene where he appears slaps Lee Jung-jae in the face. I almost mistook it for a movie. With his solid body and tremendous strength, he slices through the enemies in an instant, and the impact is really awesome! After defeating all the enemies, Yasuke meets Naoe inside Katano Castle. Yasuke says he wants to talk to Naoe and asks about the assassination sword on Naoe’s wrist. He then persuades her to stay with him. This is where the shocking confession comes out. “I killed Sandayu.” Sandayu? Naoe was a precious teacher who helped train shinobi. During the Second Iga War, Sandayu and Yasuke fought. Just before he died, Sandayu showed Yasuke the assassination sword. When Yasuke asks, “Where did you get this assassination blade?”, Naoe dies, saying, “Trust the woman who holds this assassination blade and help me.” Yasuke begs Naoe for forgiveness, but Naoe has already lost too much. Her family, relatives, and loved ones died in the Iga Rebellion, leaving her heart frozen. Just as Naoe is about to behead Yasuke, Junjiro intervenes. Naoe declares, “Yasuke is the monster who killed my family.” Junjiro replies, “If Yasuke is a monster, then you are a monster too, Naoe.” A shocking truth is revealed: the first Hakkishu Naoe assassinated at Katano Castle was none other than Junjiro’s father. Shocking! Junjiro already knew. When Naoe collapsed with serious injuries, Junjiro attempted to kill the unconscious Naoe. Thanks to Sogen discovering this, and Sogen teaching him how to let go of his hatred, Junjiro began to see Naoe differently. He understood, opened his heart, became friends, and became family. So Junjiro says, “If you’re going to kill Yasuke, then give me your sword.” “And with that sword, I must kill Naoe.” That’s right. Revenge eventually breeds more revenge. This is how Naoe learns ‘how to forgive’ and ‘how to ask for forgiveness.’ And eventually, she decides to accompany Yasuke. She creates the assassination group ‘Katoshu’ and begins to eliminate the Hakkishu, while also uncovering the truth about the old assassination group that Naoe’s parents belonged to. Yasuke says he knows the bull mask from a picture of the Hakkishu. Furthermore, she learns that the person wearing another mask is Mitsuhide’s son-in-law and a member of the Hakkishu. Thanks to Yasuke, she gets a clue that the next Hakkishu is in the Yamashiro and Harima regions. And one of the Hakkishu they encounter is a man who lost an ear in a fight with Naoe’s father in the past, and their base is Amagasaki Castle. There, you will also see the horrific sight of monk soldiers massacring civilians, and Naoe realizes that Hakkishu is hiding among the resisting civilians. He is Wada Koretake. There are many guard soldiers around Wada, so it will not be easy to assassinate him, but if you take care of the surrounding soldiers first, you can take down Wada easily. I had a hard time. I died twice… The next Hakkishu story is also quite complicated. When Mitsuhide didn’t know that he was a traitor, Mitsuhide introduced his son-in-law to Naoe. What bad luck. The way he spoke – – But that son-in-law ended up betraying Oda Nobunaga, Naoe plots to poison his older brother and seize control of the Ise clan. He and his brother travel to the castle, where Sadaoki persuades him to abandon the Hakkishu, but Sadaoki, already blinded by power, refuses. ” I’m going to kill him immediately . ” The game offers a choice between Yasuke and Naoe. I attempted the assassination as Naoe. However… I guess my assassination skills aren’t strong enough yet. I couldn’t kill her in one go, so I ended up having to fight. Haha. If I’d played as Yasuke, who’s stronger in combat, I think I could’ve cleared the game much faster. Haha. Now, I’ll stop fumbling with my hands and use a tool. I’ll comb it out. And with the help of Yasuke’s personal connection, Madame Nene, I gain more information about the Hakkishu. Madame Nene has been a valuable person to Yasuke since he used the name “Diog,” teaching him calligraphy and providing mental support. She’s known about the Hakkishu’s true identity for a long time, and fearing that her husband might be the next target, she shares the information with Yasuke and Naoe. With the help of Lady Nene, he obtained information on the next Hyakkishu. He was granted Sakamoto Castle in Omi Province, but he exploits the people there and tries to drive out the former daimyo, Shotei, from the castle. He tries to kill Shotei. Shotei has a daughter, Katsuhime, who tries to persuade her father to run away, but Shotei insists on fighting to the end. He decides to help them. Although he manages to escape Akechi, Akechi is stupid. He doesn’t tell the Hyakkishu that they are Hyakkishu. He openly declares, “I am the Hyakkishu!” What an idiot. With the help of a shrine maiden, he finds Akechi’s residence, but he finds out that it is heavily guarded and difficult to go alone. He also learns of a secret passage the shrine maiden told him about. The shrine maiden tells him that Shotei knows the passage, so he seeks out Shotei for help, but he says, “That passage was blocked a long time ago,” and instead, that his daughter Katsuhime can help. Naoe meets Katsuhime and asks for her help, but she initially refuses, saying, “This isn’t my fight, it’s my father’s.” The relationship between father and daughter seems a bit cold, doesn’t it? But Naoe refuses to give up, saying, “Are you going to be unfilial?” In fact, Katsuhime, the daughter who loved her father more than anyone, was very worried. Eventually, Naoe, Yasuke, and Shotei attempted to infiltrate the castle without Katsuhime’s help, but Katsuhime, perhaps worried, eventually came to their aid. She then turned to Nioe and said, “I’ve come to help you…” There’s a slight hint of a romantic connection, isn’t there? The plan is to first eliminate the swordsman protecting Akechi, Gamo Yoshimitsu. Naoe and Katsuhime set fire to the gunpowder kegs inside the castle, and when the guards swarm, they take advantage of the gap to assassinate their target. They switch to Yasuke mode, engage in a one-on-one duel with Yoshimitsu, and after winning, switch back to Naoe. Even if you don’t want to play as Yasuke, you’re forced to because of the story. The same goes for Naoe. There seems to be a strange current flowing between Nioe and Katsuhime… A romantic connection? Haha. Naoe focuses on the assassination and ultimately succeeds in eliminating Akechi. He asks the dying Akechi, “Where’s the box?” but he denies knowing such information. It turns out that Akechi had been promised wealth and power by the Hakkishu, and thus was weak in combat and easily defeated. Then, while exploring the village, Yasuke discovers a letter, which triggers a flashback to his past… A few months ago, before Yasuke’s name even existed, he was known as “Dioguo.” Oda Nobunaga took him in and placed him under the tutelage of Kamiizumi Nobutsuna. At first, he was unfamiliar with the sword, and in his first duel with Nobutsuna’s disciple, Marume Nagayoshi, he was completely defeated. It must have been a difficult time, but as he was walking home alone, he witnessed him harassing an elderly servant. He kindly intervened, but the other disciples instead challenged him and fought him. The next day, a man named Kuma visited and asked to meet Oda’s younger sister, Lady Oichi. Lady Oichi was initially wary of the unfamiliar Westerner. However, when he learned that Yasuke had helped his servant, he recognized his sincerity by giving him a kosode (simple jacket) he had made himself. Not only was he beautiful, but he also had a warm heart. After that, Yasuke devoted himself to training diligently under his master’s teachings. At first, he only took hits, but he gradually grew into a samurai, and eventually successfully attacked his master Nobutsuna. One day, Yasuke discovers a Portuguese priest spying on him. He is suspicious, but even after hearing that he did it out of curiosity, he feels uneasy. While resting after training, Yasuke hears from his disciple Nagayoshi that Lady Nene is calling for him. When he goes to see her, it turns out she’s secretly calling him. Not Nene Chicken, but Lady Nene… haha. In the past, Oda gifted his master Nobutsuna with a precious katana, but was defeated by Nobutsuna’s rival, Sadana Masatoyo, and the sword was taken from him. This tarnished Nobutsuna’s reputation, and Oda’s attention seemed to have faded, causing everyone to suffer. The samurai who had been harassing the servant were also Masatoyo’s disciples, and they were scheduled to pledge their loyalty to Oda at the welcoming ceremony. Lady Nene asked Yasuke to pledge his loyalty to Oda the next day, and Yasuke diligently prepared. Then, during practice, a young boy he encountered said, “I want to become a great warrior like my grandfather. My grandfather’s name is Yasuke!” Hearing this, he decides to use that name too. And on the day of the welcome ceremony, Yasuke, in order to restore his master’s honor, engages in a duel with Masatoyo’s disciples using a real sword and wins. After retrieving his sword and swearing loyalty to Oda, Oda tells him, “You are now a true samurai. You are worthy to stand by my side.” Thus, Diogu is given the name “Yasuke” and gains Oda Nobunaga’s trust, joining him in the Second Iga War. Back in the present, Yasuke is summoned by Kuma to meet Lady Oichi. Lady Oichi tells him, “There are Hakkishu in Omi too. They are exploiting the peasants.” She then says, “I have one more favor to ask,” and asks him to meet again at Isakiji Temple before leaving. Hearing this, Yasuke feels a pang of sadness. “Yasuke, don’t you like Lady Oichi? Is it unrequited love?” he thinks. In Omi, Yasuke receives information that corrupt Daikan are secretly loyal to the Hakkishu, and heads to Isakiji Temple. There, they perform a purification ritual and pay tribute to Oda Nobunaga. Lady Oichi speaks once more, “The Hakkishu are the most powerful men in this land.” Then, he leaves. A pushover… Yasuke returns to Omi and gives Kuma a list of corrupt Daikan. While assassinating them, he obtains information that the Hakkishu will be gathering at the Hogonji Temple on Chikyubu Island that night. Yasuke infiltrates the Hogonji Temple and assassinates all the Daikan. Finally, he confronts the Hakkishu, only to discover that it is none other than Lady Oichi! Lady Oichi is the Hakkishu! The axe he trusted is stung. It is the Hakkishu who killed her own brother, but Lady Oichi confesses tearfully. “I borrowed money from a loan shark to help the people who were starving during a famine in Omi, but the debt grew so much that I couldn’t handle it, so I ended up joining the Hakkishu.” “I didn’t know the Hakkishu was that kind of organization,” she says, sincerely apologizing to Yasuke and Naoe. What’s the point of apologizing… My brother is already dead… Here are the choices: * Save Lady Oichi → Act with Kuma * Kill Lady Oichi → Battle with Kuma (Kuma dies, but Lady Oichi survives) Kuma is in such a unfair situation… I feel so bad for him ㅠㅠ I chose “Save Lady Oichi.” After giving Oda’s sword to Yasuke, Lady Oichi leaves, and Yasuke and Naoe set off again to eliminate the remaining Hakkishu. Thanks to information from Lady Nene, the main characters attend the ‘Renga-kai (連歌會)’. In fact, this Rengakai isn’t just a simple poetry gathering, but a military alliance forged through poetry. On their way to meet Kuroda Kanbee, Yasuke and Naoe meet a young boy, Ukita Hideie. Hideie is a boy with a certain elegance that belies his age, but in fact, he is being held hostage by Hideyoshi. But being a hostage doesn’t mean he can’t do anything. His father, Ukita Naoie, felt inadequate and sent his son as a hostage to secure the alliance. However, Hideie doesn’t resent his father, but rather says, “It’s necessary for the family.” If I were you, I would be offended. Kuroda Kanbee informs them that there are forces attacking Hideyoshi’s allies, and explains that today’s Rengakai is an event to reaffirm Ukita Naoie’s alliance. Naoie is a Kuroda collaborator, and so Hideie is being held hostage as a condition of the alliance. But just as the Rengakai begins, a sudden shinobi raid occurs and Hideie is kidnapped! Ukita Naoie desperately pleads with Yasuke and Naoe, “Please find my son!” The two gather information and head to the temple where Hideie is said to be. Surprisingly, Hideie has not been kidnapped, but is being protected. The “kidnapper” is none other than his father, Naoie. While his desire to get his son back is understandable, it’s a dangerous approach. The protagonists sense something is off about Naoie’s actions and soon realize that the next Hakkishu is none other than Ukita Naoie. He has already hidden weapons in the temple and soldiers at Himeji Castle, ready to attack Kuroda. When Kuroda is informed of this, Kuroda says, “Naoie’s weakness is his son. We must take him hostage again.” However, Naoie strongly objects, saying, “Don’t involve a child.” Kuroda says, “I’ll talk to you in person,” and Yasuke and Naoe prepare by eliminating the shinobi hiding in the castle. However, the conversation between Kuroda and Naoie does not go smoothly. Kuroda threatens Hideie, mentioning that he was with Kuroda’s subordinates, but Naoie declares, “My people have already taken control of the castle,” before quickly fleeing to the castle tower. However, the protagonists have already dealt with them all. But Kuroda openly says, “Stop them from coming to the castle tower!” As if saying, “Come to the castle tower.” Kuroda quietly says, “Hideyoshi will not forgive you for this. His anger will fall on your son, Hideie. You must die, and my son must live.” However, Naoie refuses and heads to the top of the castle tower. When the protagonists arrive at the castle tower, Naoie is reading a poem written by her son. “Even though I’m a hostage, I fight for my family in my own way,” was a poem filled with Hideie’s unwavering resolve and pain. Seeing it, Naoie belatedly understands his son’s feelings and says, “It’s already too late…” At the end of the battle, you have a choice to save Naoie or kill him. I choose to save him . I’m a pacifist. He says , “Live and live happily ever after with your son.” But he is already a traitor, so he chooses death to save his son. He tells Naoie to pass on his poem to his son before dying. I’ll stop combing your hair and give you a scalp massage. During their exploration, the protagonist discovers a remote temple. There, a monk tells them the story of a man: “He wears the mask of an ox… he is the last surviving member of the Bessho clan.” The protagonists immediately recognize him as Hyakkishu. As night falls, the ox arrives at the temple with a troop of monks and subordinates. He declares his long-held revenge: “Years ago… the Bessho clan was annihilated by Hideyoshi. It is time to rise again. We will attack Miki Castle. … You too must help me. Or… we will die.” The ox’s crimes: * massacring civilians, * conscripting and sacrificing child soldiers, * and * indiscriminately killing anyone who opposed him. He was a “warmonger” and a “tyrant.” The protagonists could no longer stand by and watch his atrocities. Eventually, Yasuke and Naoe work together to eliminate him. The reason the bull entered the Hyakkishu was to “give them strength.” I wonder who the leader of the Hyakkishu is. He must have a lot of power… While exploring the Haraba region, they discover a suspicious outlaw guarding a house. After a fight, they defeat the outlaw and enter, only to find that it’s Nagahide’s house. He’s being attacked by the outlaws, and the protagonists help him save him. Yasuke is relieved to recognize Nagahide, his former comrade from the battlefield. He then learns important information from him: “The masked man… is targeting our family. He… plays the lute.” Ting ting ting~ Have you seen the “Demon Slayer” anime? There’s a lute player… anyway. That’s right. Another member of the Hyakkishu. There’s a pirate helping him * stealing * smuggling * murder . The protagonist goes to find a local master, a lute player. Hyakkishu’s name is Takeda Motoaki. In the past, he lost his family’s territory and wandered, and in order to regain his lost honor, he leads pirates and commits crimes. His goal is ‘the family’s legacy’. However… the evil he committed is too great and deep. In the end, the protagonist punishes Takeda Motoaki. However, during a battle with one of the pirates, his subordinate and a pirate boss named Samekichi, an unexpected name pops up. “Du… Duarchi…” Yasuke asks in surprise. “How… do you know that name?!” But Samekichi doesn’t know anything more than that. Yasuke gets angry just from the name alone. I’ll tell you the story of Duarchi after the Hyakkishu story is over. Now, I’ll quickly explain the remaining Hyakkishu. Joken, the chief priest of Todaiji Temple, joins the Hyakkishu when Oda Nobunaga breaks his promise to hand over Yamato Province to his monks. He orchestrates a war with the Akiyama clan in order to drive out the daimyo of Yamato, Tsutsui Junkei. He makes it seem as if he has been attacked by the Katiyama clan, and slanders the Yamato clan in front of Tsutsui, sowing discord between the two. He smuggles cannons and weapons to arm his monks, and after instigating a fight between the Tsutsui and Akiyama clans, he attempts to seize Yamato Province, but is ultimately executed by the protagonists. Akechi Mitsuhadé, another Hyakkishu traitor, joins the Hyakkishu after witnessing the death of his mother and the massacre of many people. The protagonists meet him at Shoryuji Castle, but he is forced to abandon the castle and flee after being defeated by Hashiba Hideyoshi’s large army, but is ultimately captured and executed by the protagonists. Finally, Ashikaga Yoshiaki, the leader of the Hyakkishu, was ousted by Nobunaga. Seeking to become shogun again, he formed the Hyakkishu under orders from the Knights Templar and stole the chest guarded by the Naoe family. However, after all the Hyakkishu were executed, he returned the chest out of fear of death and handed over information to the Knights Templar. This is the story of the Hyakkishu. But the real story begins now. The Knights Templar have finally appeared! The story so far has been structured around tracking down the members of the massive Hyakkishu organization and uncovering the truth one by one, but now the story shifts to Yasuke’s personal past and revenge. Archi is not just a member of the organization; he is deeply intertwined with Yasuke’s past. * The name alone is enough to incite Yasuke’s rage. Now, let’s rush to the ending! The Knights Templar have become known in Japan, and the “Du Archi de Melu” that enraged Yasuke is finally revealed. Duarchi was Yasuke’s slave trader when he was a slave, and he was a vicious figure who, along with Japanese pirates, kidnapped and sold civilians into slavery. He killed Yasuke’s mother for leaking documents, and attempted to kill Yasuke himself. Then, a mysterious figure with a hidden blade appeared and rescued Yasuke, revealing its existence for the first time. Yasuke finds Duarchi, exacts revenge, and ultimately avenges his mother. This is Yasuke’s ending, and now Naoe’s. Naoe finally finds the long-sought-after box and heads to the Assassin’s Order outpost. Upon placing the box there, she hears the music her father used to sing, leading her to believe her mother had returned. However, it was actually a man named Hanzo, and Naoe’s mother was an Assassin. Hanzo had a crush on her, but he left without confessing. When he returned, Naoe’s father and Naoe were by her side. Driven by hatred, he leaked information about the Assassin’s Order to Hyakkishu, leading to the fall of the Order. Hanzo was the one who started it all. Hanzo confesses to Naoe. Here, he’s presented with a choice: “Forgive Hanzo” or “Do Not Forgive. ” Choosing “Forgive” results in no combat, while choosing “Do Not Forgive” triggers a battle with Hanzo . I chose to forgive. Hanzo hears from Naoe that his mother is still alive somewhere, and vows to find the remaining box and meet her again, ending the game. I played for 90 hours. Ninety hours of storytelling in such a short time? You guys are amazing. If you include recruiting allies and side quests outside of the story, today won’t be enough. I should split this up into two parts. Let’s stop here. Now, let’s get to the game review! I truly love the Assassin’s Creed series, but to be honest, I’ve been a bit disappointed with the recent installments. I’m sure there are people around the world who have been disappointed. The gradual disappearance of the assassination element was a bit disappointing. Still, I’m glad the assassination element returned in this game. However, I honestly found the Yasuke gameplay a bit uncomfortable. Switching between Yasuke and Naoe was harder than I expected. Yasuke’s role was bigger than I thought, and as the ending progressed, I felt like Yasuke was the main character. Since it’s set in Japan, I wanted to focus more on Naoe. I wanted to focus, but it was uncomfortable to be forced to play as Yasuke . And Yasuke was too strong and didn’t feel human. Haha. He’s human, but he doesn’t feel human… Naoe is of Isu bloodline, so she uses eagle eyes, but Yasuke isn’t of Isu bloodline, so he couldn’t use that skill, which was frustrating. Eagle eyes help the game play… So I avoided playing as Yasuke. Why make Yasuke the main character…? Why? I wish it had been more fun if a historical figure had appeared, but that part was a bit lacking. (It could be because I don’t know much about Japanese history…) And I really feel like there needs to be DLC. That’s because the ending was disappointing… If there’s no DLC, give me back my 90 hours. How about the score? I’m glad Assassin’s Creed is back, so I’ll give it a 3.5. 4 is a bit short, but I’ll raise it to a 4 if the DLC is fun. I gave it a 3.5. Today, I told you the story of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Now, when the next series comes out, I think I’ll have to look up reviews and buy it… It’s not a game I can easily get my hands on anymore… But I had fun playing it. If you guys want to play it after watching my video, please do. I don’t recommend it strongly, but I do recommend it. Then, have a good dream today and see you in the next video. Bye~ Bye~
