    原田知世 – 鈴懸の種【Bass Covers, day-418】　フォーキー・ジャズ

    原田知世さんのデビュー40周年記念アルバム『fruitful days』（2022年）から、今回は『鈴懸の種』をベース・カバー

    この曲は作詞が元チャットモンチーのドラマーで作詞家・作家の高橋久美子さん、作曲が伊藤ゴローさんです。アルバムのプロデューサーもゴローさん。
    ゴローさんが原田さんのアルバムをプロデュースするのは2007年の『music & me』からで、アルバム制作時点で15年ほどの音楽サポート関係にあるそうです。原田さんの声質や佇まいとゴローさんの音世界がうまく融和しているから、長く続いているんでしょうね。

    原曲の雰囲気は踏襲しつつも、リハなし・即興のベースラインで弾きました。

    From Tomoyo Harada’s 40th anniversary album “fruitful days” (2022), this time I covered “Suzukake no Tane.”
    The previous cover video of the song, “Violet,” can be found here.

    The lyrics for this song were written by Kumiko Takahashi, former drummer of Chatmonchy and lyricist/writer, and the music was composed by Goro Ito. Goro is also the producer of the album.
    Goro has been producing Harada’s albums since 2007’s “music & me,” and they have been working together for about 15 years. Harada’s voice and presence blend well with Goro’s sound world, which is probably why their collaboration has lasted so long.

    While maintaining the atmosphere of the original song, I played the bass line without rehearsal, improvising.
