【絶対にやってはいけない!禁止ルールとは?】大会で誰も知らないバグ技使いますか? 命とキンメダル ウメハラ スト6ライブ雑談
I can’t tell the difference between those who are standing in line and those who are just waiting You put 100 yen or 50 yen in the gap of the arcade machine Please tell me the value of winning in SFL Are you okay with dying within five years? Will you hide the bug until the tournament? To conclude, Good evening, Umehara Nice to meet you I don’t have a PC or anything, so I can’t play Street Fighter 6 myself, but I enjoy watching tournaments I became interested in fighting games starting with Street Fighter 6, and I was really excited when I learned that an arcade version would be released My parents had played in arcades before, and when I heard their stories, they told me it would be better to remember the commands first It’s interesting to learn things like this from my parents Of course, that’s the intention, but is it okay to go to play Street Fighter 6 at the arcade even if I’ve never done it before? Are there any rules or things I need to know when going to the arcade? Is it okay for complete beginners? I see Just to mention, In the past, at home… well, back then, you could only compete at game centers, so the level was different I think the home version is actually at a higher level now because there is a home version available To be honest, even though it’s more than the arcade, since it’s paid, I think it’s better to assume that the average level of people playing in the arcade is higher than that of home players The range is narrow, and the numbers are few The top tier is probably at a lower position than the home console players, but I think that makes them more evenly matched As for the arcade players, So if you go in as a complete beginner, I think you’ll just end up losing money I’m not saying it’s impossible, but it might be quite tough at the beginning And… the rules and what you need… the rules… well, you know If there are any controllers that you find easy to use, that would be necessary You mentioned not having a PC, so you might not have one If you’re usually playing with a PlayStation controller, it might be better to bring your own controller Now you can play with your own controller even at game centers There are rules, you know… If I briefly trace the history, back in the day… You might not believe it, but… There was a Street Fighter 2 boom, you know At that time, there was one set of arcade machines for battles On the arcade machines facing each other I can’t believe there were already 20 or 30 people following me There really was a time like that And I was playing games during that era So, you see, there’s already a crowd forming I have no idea who’s going to do it I can’t tell the difference between those who are waiting in line and those who are just standing around So what you do is, if someone wants to play next, they put a 100 yen or 50 yen coin in the gap of the machine, and when it’s their turn, they play… so… they lose Get up from your seat Then, the person who placed the coin at the very front sits down and uses that coin to play It’s like lining up again It’s a repetition, but to make sure people know which coin is theirs, they might stack a 1 yen coin on top of it Coins can be 50 yen, or you might stack a 1 yen coin on top of a 50 yen coin Stacking 10 yen coins and such I used to do things like that So after that era ended, well… after the overwhelming boom like that disappeared, what I was doing was The game is over… or rather, it’s about to end In short, if you lose, you get up from your seat once Putting in money while remaining seated is called a continuous coin Well, this will definitely make you very unpopular Depending on the store, you might get warned Because it might be against the rules So this is something you absolutely must not do You must stand up at least once And then wait a little Well, about… waiting for 5 seconds is enough If no one comes in after waiting for 5 seconds, can I try again? By the way, I usually do it pretty quickly, around 3 seconds If no one does anything after about 3 seconds, I’ll just go ahead and do it again, but if I’m being cautious, maybe I’ll wait about 5 seconds? By the way, I stood up because there are people behind me Then, um… Like this Because there will be someone who will do it Ah… once I realized that this person is just watching, I will start looking back from the next time I can somehow sense it, but if the person behind me hasn’t changed, it’s fine to continue as is He… I made it clear that I am part of the Vega standing faction, so this is what it means You see This is what it means, so I’m indicating that I won’t do it W-Well, if that was the only one there, then I don’t have to get up anymore Yeah… but… if someone new comes, then I have to get up, right? And when it comes to Street Fighter 4, the situation changes a bit Until then, I was only playing against the person across from me, but it became more like automatic matching For example… if there were 3 machines on this side and 3 on the other side, it started matching diagonally It became a system where you could match with anyone on the other side, not just the person directly across from you I think it’s probably a way to increase the rotation of the matches… Well, since that happened, Well, it seems like there are fewer people being left unattended Well, I thought that was a good system, but in that case, you know… This time, if there are no people sitting next to you, it means you can continue playing, right? You understand? It doesn’t matter where you sit because it automatically matches you The fact that there are no people next to you means it’s safe to assume that there are no players available So you can just keep inserting coins as is I don’t really understand the arcade situation for 5 or 6, so there’s that How about trying to play while referring to what I just mentioned? My throat is tired I was just thinking while watching SFL highlight videos, how much value does winning the SFL really have? Will the chances of participating in SFL next year increase or will there be better treatment? I think such things are possible Recently, I also heard that Shooter has gained a new sponsor However, compared to a major individual competition, it seems that even if you win, your popularity within the SFL remains limited After working hard for over six months to win, it feels like the cost-effectiveness is poor I was just thinking, could you tell me the value of winning the SFL from your perspective, Mr. Umehara? Cost performance… Cost performance is difficult, though But… um… compared to the Capcom Cup, of course It becomes a conversation about how the cost performance is poor Well, you know… Yeah… but the Capcom Cup is, you see, It’s not over yet, but still… it’s something that can’t be achieved just by skill alone In that case, I think it’s good that you’re getting opportunities for exposure, places to showcase your skills, and chances that can lead to achievements So… it’s true that when looking at the SFL alone, it might seem like a poor cost-performance ratio Well, it’s an investment, right? It’s more like an investment in the future Like getting sponsors while performing well here Or having better待遇 Credit is… being given, or something like that That’s what it means I think it’s a bit different to view it purely in terms of immediate cost performance Well, I think it’s inevitable that in a team competition, the evaluation of each individual gets diluted compared to an individual competition Um, I have something I want to ask Mr. Umehara This article from over 10 years ago… this article here A survey was released asking 198 world-class athletes if they would be okay with dying within five years if it guaranteed them a gold medal through doping, and the majority answered yes I remember being very surprised when I read this as an ordinary person Wow, that’s amazing! I never imagined that a gold medal could be worth as much as a person’s name In the case that Mr. Umehara can earn honor equivalent to a gold medal as an esports athlete Do you think it’s okay to die within five years? Is it something like winning EVO and CC three times in a row in Street Fighter? I would appreciate hearing your thoughts on this I see Hmm… well… is that really true? Assuming it is, I’m speaking based on that, but they said there was an article about it I don’t really understand, but whatever I’m… going to say no As I mentioned earlier, I want to live with peace of mind by having confidence This is quite luxurious, isn’t it? It’s truly an ideal way of living, but I want to live confidently and securely as my true self It’s not just about living in peace, you know So… with this… doping, you know? I think I can feel like I’ve accomplished something by receiving a gold medal I might feel relieved, but can I live with confidence? That’s the question I think people will say it’s amazing It’s amazing, right? I’ve also been praised by the country… right? There may be various things that are respected by competitors, but But I know it myself, right? But I did dope, you know So, what kind of life will you lead? It will be a life where you play the role of an amazing person Living as if you are an amazing person when you don’t actually think of yourself that way is a really constricting and boring life Absolutely So I would definitely say NO to something like this But you know Well… like… that’s not really the case I think these people understand too Even so… no, I don’t know I really don’t know if he actually said yes Even if he did say yes, I would still respond with yes I think physical competitions are indeed tough I think it’s an extraordinary kind of suffering Like track and field, you know So, well… this… like… I think it’s so harsh that it makes me respond that way Well… hmm… I don’t think I want a gold medal that badly, to the point of sacrificing a life Only Umehara noticed it… Umehara is the only one who realized it There is a bug In the upcoming important tournament, if there are no rules prohibiting the intentional use of bugs, will you hide and use the bug until the tournament? To conclude, I will not use it Well, you see… Exactly this kind of thing Actually, there was something in Capcom vs SNK 2… By the way, it wasn’t me, but a game-breaking bug was discovered in Capcom vs SNK 2 that shook the very foundation of the game, although it wasn’t known to the public at the time of the official national tournament, and everyone was playing without the bug Well, Oonuki won the championship, but There’s this guy named Yumenori who is quite famous for games like Guilty Gear; I wonder if he participated in the Capcom vs SNK 2 tournament? Did he also compete in Capcom vs SNK 1? He’s really good at games Apparently, he knew about it I knew that, though It seems they kept it a secret and didn’t do it themselves I think I would probably do the same thing too When I find it Oh… this is bad! But I’ll keep quiet and not participate until the tournament is over The reason I won’t say anything is that the tournament will become chaotic The reason I don’t use it will come later It’s like I don’t want to be told that I’m being unfair I think I probably did the exact same thing as Yumeno, but it seems like Yumeno knew
