Because if you enjoy it and you’re looking forward to it, then hell, that is all that matters. I’m simply going to let you know how I’m feeling on my side. So anyway, let’s check it out. We’re going to get his reaction, then the FGC reaction. Let’s go. Little less than a week before Fakumrom is dropping the latest season 2 DLC character, IGN got an early access look at the character and they released their video. I want to take a first look at it, react to it, and uh do some analysis on the moves cuz I fought against Fakum Rom and Tekken 7 and I want to see what’s the same and what’s different and what can we expect. Um, before we start the video, I just want to let you know that if you’re excited for Faulen Rom or if this is uh if you’re new to Tekken, uh, don’t let my opinions or negative opinions about the character stray like sway you away from Fakum Rom if this is a guy I have friends who are really looking forward to him coming out and they’re looking forward to abusing a lot of the stuff that I will likely be complaining about. So, don’t take any of it too seriously. I just want to give my honest take as a longtime Tekken fan of what I think this character is going to be. It looks like nothing guaranteed after. Uh other thing other thing that I wanted to point out is that I think seeing this animation is going to get really annoying. I think that if you’re fighting like a long set against a Fakarmon player and you’re constantly getting guard broken and seeing this exact pause to the gameplay over and over, especially because it’s probably not going to pause the timer, we just have a lot of situations that are taking people out of the game play. Uh, and this has been my complaint about the long combos of season 2 where everybody has like three strong aerial tail spins um, and a lot of attack throw animations. It’s not just a complaint about the competitive side of things where it burns the clock. It’s a complaint I have about just Wow, I can’t even get my thoughts. It’s a complaint I have about just how long you spend not being in the game play. And not being in the game play is uh frustrating. It makes it harder to learn situations, harder to get more reps, and in general, uh, it just feels like Tekken 8 season 2 is removing a lot of the interactive parts and just showing a lot of like quicktime events or cut scenes, you know, which I’m sure is appealing to some people, but as someone who really enjoys like the fighting game portion of this stuff, uh, I prefer I prefer to have more gameplay. So, I I hope that if this mechanic stays, maybe they can speed this up. You know, we don’t have to zoom in on his face, look at it, and then have him walk up. It could really just be guard break right away, take the step, and he’s in the stance right now. If we go in the stance right away, then at least the guess is faster. But these pauses to the game play are not really doing it for me.

FGC is definitely reacting to this. We got some mixed emotions right here. Check it out. Saying uh startup is from Tekken 7 and you could reach the opponent in Tekken 8. And why nobody cry about Clive range, but they do this for [ __ ] And he got long limbs and he’s large, so of course he has longer than most characters, but yeah, they can make it more realistic. No neutral. And it’s about the sale, having more people buy this broken [ __ ] Continuing on, I love how Namco showing all [ __ ] broken moves in our faces. And mid-range, this is full screen. And let me guess, it’s plus seven on block in tracks 360°. And the day Murray retires from the dev team is the day I’ll buy Tekken again if the series survives this, of course. And you have to be outright uh if you think this is okay. And then check out this little meme, this little picture right here. Sad thing is it’s pretty damn accurate and it’s clear this is a favorite character cuz this roll out has been insane. And you [ __ ] idiots can’t do anything, right? Damn, that almost has 200 likes. And is Michael Murray running this [ __ ] account or what? His dumbass is the only one that could see this and be like, “Oh, cool.” That has over a hundred likes. And this post proves that they never learn from their mistakes. And we ain’t getting any more Tekken games at this point. Rightly so. Fighting Games have relatively small, loyal, dedicated fan base. Yet, they seem to think they can cash on the massive casuals for this slop. They download, complete the story, and they leave. Then, wrapping it up saying, “Is this a joke or what? or what is this range? Laugh my ass off. How y’all feeling about that? Damn. All right. On one hand, we got Fei saying, “Hey, take it with a grain of salt. This is just my opinion.” He’s very, very outspoken about I don’t want the doomers to influence. I I’m really big on if you like the game, you like the game. None of this [ __ ] matters. Just like the game and play what you like to play. Now, the I guess the debate was outside of that was uh you know there were some people saying we even covered it in a recent video saying that the game is not dead, right? They’re saying I think isn’t it number two at EVO? They’re saying that the offline scene they’re still having a lot of fun playing this damn game. It’s more so the online community to seem like they’ll be walking away. But then we’ve heard mixed kind of responses from that cuz other people are like, “Man, my locals are dwindling, you know, and [ __ ] like that.” uh others saying like it’s not as bad as it seems, but then more stuff like this comes out and you’re like what’s happening? Because it almost seems like the devs right now in the uh current point of Tekken 8, they have to hit they it seems like the only way to get this game back is you got to hit a home run. Home run after home run after home runs. And right now it’s a lot of foul tips. It’s a lot of swings and a miss, you know, and it’s just like it doesn’t seem like it’s hitting. Now, some are under the the theory, I think even Maximillion said he thinks there’s plenty of time. It’s only season two. There’s plenty of time to get this back this game back in shape. It might take a whole another season, but it’s not over yet. But then you see stuff like this and you’re like, okay, maybe we wait for Tekken 9. I don’t know. You know what I’m saying? But I agree. At the end of the day, if this doesn’t bother you and you enjoy playing the game, play the damn game. You know what I’m saying? See what happens. But as of right now, this is what’s going down.
