【40代女の孤独旅】こんなの初めて❤とろけた笠岡旅

[Music] Hello! I’m Ai from Mido Challenge TV. After 26 minutes of swaying on the local train from Kurashiki Station, we arrived at Kasaoka Station. Yes! The setting for this episode is the town of Kasaoka . Located in the southwest of Okayama Prefecture, Kasaoka City is known for its quiet streets that still retain the atmosphere of a port town, as well as the famous Kasaoka Ramen and the delicious seafood from the Seto Inland Sea. If you hear that it’s the hometown of the comedy duo Chidori, many of you may know what it is. [Music] An acquaintance from Okayama Prefecture recommended a restaurant, so I’m going to go there now for a late lunch. And the reason why I came to Okayama Prefecture this time is because it’s a continuation of the previous video. I wanted to try riding the Yakumo Express first, so I made Okayama Prefecture my destination. Yes! And here is today’s lunch. It’s a mantis shrimp bowl restaurant. I didn’t know this, but it seems that mantis shrimp are often caught in Kasaoka City. This is the inside of the restaurant. Actually, it was 2pm at this time, so there were no customers. It seems to be a very popular restaurant usually. Yes, this is a mantis shrimp bowl restaurant, but I ordered a mantis shrimp set meal. So here it is. This set meal comes with mantis shrimp vinegar and mantis shrimp tempura. So, I’ll have my first mantis shrimp vinegar. It’s full of eggs. Let’s eat it♪ Soft♡ The taste is like a cross between crab and shrimp. This mantis shrimp vinegar tasted exactly like crab vinegar. And I’ll have the mantis shrimp tempura too. I was impressed by the crispy and fluffy texture. When I think of tempura, I imagine it being heavy with oil, but this was very light. It’s high in protein , so I’m sure it’s good for your body. This is the first time I’ve seen mantis shrimp eggs. I once ate boiled mantis shrimp when I went on a trip with my mother to Hong Kong, but it was quite hard. I didn’t have the impression that it was so soft, so my concept of mantis shrimp changed. After this, I actually had a reservation at a Japanese restaurant in front of the station from 6:30, and I shouldn’t have eaten so much at this time, but I ate everything. Yes, I finished my first late lunch, or rather early dinner, and now I’m going to check in. I’m heading to the hotel. The weather was nice that day, and it was a very pleasant day. On the way to the hotel, I found a retro place, so I went inside. The moment I saw it, I got emotional and a heart mark appeared in my heart. This train is the Ikasa Railway. I think it’s under the elevated railway line next to National Route 2. It’s in Kasaoka Traffic Park. It’s the Ikasa Railway Hoji 9. The diesel railcars are preserved. You can freely visit it. From the window, you can see the port very well, and the pleasant sea breeze was coming in, so it was very pleasant. It was pleasant, so I wanted to stay longer, but the sun would set if I stayed here, so I decided to hurry to the hotel. And the hotel I’m staying at is an apartment-style hotel located along the train tracks, very close to Kasaoka Station. There is a sign for Shiomachi Hotel on the first floor of the commercial building next to the apartment, and you can receive your key there. So, this is the apartment where I’m staying. It’s also inhabited by ordinary people. Let’s go inside. My castle for tonight is on the fourth floor. As you can see, the hotel is located along the train tracks, but the room was well soundproofed and quiet. Let’s go into room 403. Yes, we’ve arrived at the room. It’s a very unusual and unique hotel. Today, it’s an apartment style. This is what the whole room looks like. There is a living and dining room, and a small sofa corner. Opposite it is a TV, but it is small for a room of this size. The blue curtains are neutral. This is the room from the window. It’s spacious, isn’t it? Let’s take a look at the kitchen. Yes, this is the kitchen. It’s nice to have a microwave. There is also a gas stove. You can cook here. There are plenty of cooking utensils. It’s quite well-equipped. But it looks like there are no condiments. I think you have to bring your own. Yes, there is a compact refrigerator. This is the bedroom. It’s a warm room. The desk looks easy to use. There is also a large walk-in closet. Yes! Check the hardness and size of the bed! So it’s fluffy. I imagined it would be hard because it looks like a home. I think it’s queen size. The pillow is a little expensive. That’s how it felt. This is a 3LDK. Let’s open it up a little. Yes, it can accommodate a large number of people. This is the sink. It’s very clean. Let’s take a look at the bath. It’s a very clean bathroom. There is also a washing machine. [Music] There is no detergent. Let’s take a look at the restroom. It’s a clean restroom. Yes! So, I’m going to go to an izakaya by myself for the first time in a while. It’s a restaurant called Sakae Seimaru. I wanted to eat some fish around here, so I made a reservation. The restaurant we’re heading to is a Japanese restaurant right in front of the station. It’s located across the tracks from the hotel. We’re heading to Sakae Seimaru. Yes, this is the rotary. It’s right next to the rotary. This way. Yes, it’s about a one-minute walk from the station. Okay, so let’s get started by looking at what kind of restaurant it is. This is what the inside of the restaurant looks like. It’s very clean and nice. I’d like to eat something local from around here. Are you sure you want local food? [Music] Yes , local food is fine. We still have Spanish mackerel, so we have salted Spanish mackerel, asparagus tempura, and boiled asparagus. [Music] Ah, that’s good. The needle squid is also local. Yes, we can also make fried red leg shrimp now. It’s shrimp caught in Okayama. [Music] Yes, oh, I see. What should I do? I ordered everything and the beer arrived immediately. Cheers ♪ Today, I’ve been traveling for a long time, so the beer tastes even better. The owner recommended a lot of local delicacies to me, so I chose a few. First of all, as always, this is cucumber lol, and I’m sure everyone will point this out, but it’s cucumber lol. It’s the same as that. For me, when you have a full course Western meal, they bring you a sorbet or something to cleanse your palate before the main course. For me, cucumbers are like that (laughs) so I always eat the cucumbers to the end. The menu was really fun. I ordered some dishes that you don’t usually get in Tokyo, and it was so much fun that I looked at the menu several times. It was probably just after 6:30pm at this time. There weren’t many customers, but as the time went on, more and more people started coming in. It was nice, right? The atmosphere was really comfortable. This is boiled asparagus. It’s local. You can add this if you like. It’s from Okayama Prefecture, after all. It’s local. You can be sure lol [Music] Yes, when I said I wanted to eat local, she proved it. The owner was very friendly and I was able to relax from start to finish. It’s Kasaoka asparagus. It’s so pretty, isn’t it? And the beer arrived with it. Cheers. Today, I was drinking it all before the food arrived. It was really delicious. I wonder what Kasaoka asparagus tastes like. I’ll add olives to my liking. The natural sweetness and freshness of the vegetable fills my mouth. This is so thick. Moreover, it was boiled to perfection. The taste makes you smile. This asparagus is dangerous. It makes you drink more and more alcohol. It’s alive . Is it alive? It’s alive. [Music] Amazing! It’s big! It’s huge. Wow, amazing! It’s local. The legs are red, so it’s a red-legged shrimp. Ah, that’s right! Wow, I’ve never seen anything like that before! Apparently it’s a red-legged shrimp because the legs are red. I’d like to try the fried shrimp you recommended. Is this shrimp in season? Like around this time of year? Yes. [Music] Ah, I see. Wow! Well, it’s come at a good time♪ It’s big. This is salted Spanish mackerel dataki. You can eat it as is. Spanish mackerel is the prefectural fish of Okayama Prefecture, so the best Spanish mackerel gathers at the market in Okayama. Thank you. Here is Spanish mackerel salted dataki. I visited Okayama in May. May is the season for Spanish mackerel in Okayama . This is the first time I’ve seen such a meaty Spanish mackerel. Shop owner: Are you going to Onomichi or somewhere? Shop owner: Kurashiki? Yes. Kurashiki is famous, but I’ve never been there, so I think I’ll go. Kurashiki is a tourist spot next to the river that forms a U-shape, and there is the Ohara Museum of Art. There is a real painting of Monet’s water lilies. Is it there? It looks like it! Where? At the Ohara Museum of Art in the scenic area. There are quite a few real paintings. They are all real. Ohara Ohara Museum of Art. Yes, I’ll go. There are a lot of general stores and shops lined up along the river. I think you’ll enjoy it. Oh, I’ll go. The Ohara Museum of Art is a must. Oh, a must! I’m glad I asked. Yes, it’s so difficult that I can’t keep up with the conversation (‘◇’)ゞ Do you like art? I draw pictures. I’m embarrassed about it though. It’s delicious , delicious, but if you’re going to Kurashiki, you should go to the Ohara Museum of Art. Oh, I’ll go! I’m thinking of going around here tomorrow instead. There’s nothing around here. When I told the friendly shopkeeper that I was going to Kurashiki tomorrow, he gave me detailed information about recommended spots in Kurashiki and delicious restaurants. He also told me things like, “Why did you come to Kasaoka? There’s nothing around here,” and it was a very pleasant time from start to finish. We don’t have much to talk about, but let’s try the Spanish mackerel right away. Taste it♪ It’s so big that you can’t fit it in one bite. It’s luxurious, isn’t it? It’s protein, but it has a refined sweetness and no peculiar taste. The texture is a little strange. It’s chewy, but the flesh is soft, and I think I’ll fall in love with that contrast. And here is fried red leg shrimp. They’re big, aren’t they? I ordered as recommended, and everything was very filling. The portions were just right for two or three people. Maybe the owner thought I was a big eater (lol) There was a decent amount of Spanish mackerel, too lol And here I ordered some sake. It’s from a bamboo forest in Okayama Prefecture. [Music] Itadakimasu. This is my first time drinking it. It’s delicious. The gentle aroma and soft mouthfeel, like the forests of Okayama, suited my taste. It had just the right amount of sharpness. It’s the kind of sake that goes perfectly with a meal. I thought it went really well with the food. I couldn’t get enough of it. This is where the cucumber comes in to cleanse the palate. Sake and this miso go really well together. There was an aquarium next to where I was drinking. The fish were cute. I ate a lot of sake while watching the fish in the second half , so I enjoyed it. Thank you for the meal. Yes, it was delicious. It was a very good restaurant. I ordered what was recommended without worrying about the amount, but it was a huge volume, so I couldn’t finish it and asked for it to be taken away. Thank you . If you come to Kasaoka, please visit Sakae Seimaru♪ It’s nice, interacting with the locals is the best part of traveling. I’m glad I came to Kasaoka. I was wondering why I came here. There is Daikokuten . It’s broken for some reason. Good evening. Yes, I went through the passage and arrived on the other side of the station. At first glance, it looks dark, but the way back is not scary at all. I wonder what the difference is between a scary place even though it’s dark and a place that isn’t scary. I arrived at the hotel. The owner said that the hotel I’m staying at is popular. It seems like there are a lot of customers. I heard that all the guests who stayed at this hotel say it’s great. When I told her I’m alone in a 3LDK apartment, she laughed (´艸`) Well, I’ll go back to my room and have a highball. I’m back. I’ve been shopping. Now, should I drink something? Should I drink again? Should I drink something again? ♪ I wonder what’s good (although I always have a highball) [Music] It’s kind of homey (laughs) It’s a bit annoying when it’s half open, right? Right! You definitely would. I’ll close it. I don’t really mind it. But, you know, people always say that to me. From everyone. Oh, I mean from everyone. From people I dated in the past, from my ex-husband. They often say, “It’s really annoying that it’s open.” [Music] The owner of a Japanese restaurant asked me earlier why I came to Kasaoka, so I’ll tell you again. I have an acquaintance from Okayama…or rather, my mentor. This time, my main purpose was to ride the Yakumo express train, which runs from Izumoshi Station to Okayama, so I first planned a trip to Okayama. As it happened, my mentor was from Okayama Prefecture , so I asked him, “Do you have any recommendations for places in Okayama?” Then he told me, “The scenic Kurashiki area and Kasaoka ramen are popular, aren’t they?” So I thought I’d like to try Kasaoka ramen, and it became the destination of this trip. When I mentioned this at the restaurant, the owner and Mama-san said, “But there’s nothing there.” No, I told him it was emotional. Is that so? I’m glad he told me to enjoy it. Yeah. Time for sweets. I got a lot of this series for a good price. [Music] Hmm [Music] Cheers , I’m going to take a bath and then go to bed. Ta-da. The bath is nicely heated. Today, I’d like to soak in the hot water before going to bed. Well, good night. Well, I’m going to sleep, but when I took off the quilt, the mattress was a bit hard. Good night. Good morning. It’s 8 o’clock. What’s the weather like today? I didn’t check yesterday, but the balcony is really wide. Here’s a quick breakfast cooking. So I’m going to break the roll bread that already has margarine in it into two pieces and press it into a frying pan to fry. The shrimp that I took out yesterday and took out, and the boiled eggs with flavor, these are the ingredients for today’s breakfast. First, I’m going to crush the eggs. This is a breakfast that I made in about 5 minutes. Thank you. Yes, it has shrimp in it, it’s so luxurious. A luxurious burger. [Music] Egg sandwich. Yes! Check-out is coming up soon. [Music] It’s 10 o’clock, so I’d like to check out and go to eat Kasaoka ramen for lunch. After that, I’ll head to Kurashiki. Now, let’s check out. Check-out is done just by leaving the key here. Thank you for your help. Bow. That was the hotel. After checking out, I’m going to head to Idehara, which is famous for Kasaoka ramen. I can see the shop. Are there lines? It was about 30 minutes before opening time, but there was no line yet. So I didn’t line up yet either, and I waited to see what would happen. [Music] Yes, about 10 minutes before opening. The line started to form little by little, so I thought I’d line up here too. And I was able to enter the shop right at opening time. It was my first Kasaoka ramen in my life. It was my blog mentor who recommended Kasaoka ramen to me. Ihara’s ramen was brought to me. I heard about this restaurant from my mentor. Let’s start with the soup. The noodles are beautiful. How did it taste, my first Kasaoka ramen? It’s a pretty good ramen with chicken broth and a strong soy sauce flavor. The meat is chicken, right? The soup was well soaked into the meat. It had more punch than I expected. The noodles are firm, and they absorb the soup and gradually become softer. The restaurant is very compact, so I’m sorry that my face is not in the picture. The other people are in the picture, so I thought that they would be worried if they were in the picture even if I erased it later, so I took it from this angle. The ramen made by the master chef was very delicious. And, I made a mistake with the date of the rental car reservation… I was thinking of going to Bay Farm, but it was a bit far from the bus, so I didn’t know what to do. So I think I’ll head to Furushiro Park, which is close to the station. I was thinking of going to Kasaoka ramen bar after this. I also wanted to go to Menya Hareru because my mentor recommended it, but it’s a bit inconvenient without a car, so I rented a car. I was thinking of visiting Bay Farm and other places, but the rental car company was closed that day because it was a Wednesday. I was heading to Furushiroyama Park thinking I’d wander around and head home, but I got lost on the way and ended up at a shrine. Isn’t it amazing? Is this light an aura? Is it a god? It’s really sparkling. I arrived at Furushiroyama Inatomi Inari Shrine. I climbed quite a bit. It is said that Inatomi Shrine was founded when Takashige Murakami built a castle on Furushiroyama and enshrined it as a guardian deity within the castle. It was built at the end of the Edo period and is now designated as an important cultural property of the country. After that, a person from the shrine came and I asked him, “Which way is Furushiroyama Park?” He said it was on the left, so I went ahead… [Music] It’s a little scary, wait a minute, wait, maybe I should stop… I’m scared, but wait, this isn’t a road? Let’s stop . The road was narrow, next to a cliff and there were a lot of dead leaves, so I was afraid to slip, so I turned back because I was scared. So I changed my plan to come today to see this important cultural property. But maybe I was lucky? I felt refreshed when I came to Inatomi Ina Shrine, which has a panoramic view of the beautiful town of Kasaoka. I have n’t been able to go anywhere, but shall I head to my next trip? Yes, I’m heading to my next trip. My first visit to the town of Kasaoka was a trip full of first-time experiences. It all started with a train and a casual recommendation from my dear mentor. But when I actually walked around and ate, I found that this small port town was packed with more emotion and deliciousness than I had imagined. I would like to visit again someday as a grown-up version of myself. It has become one of those important places. So, thank you for watching until the end.

    Sweet Dream
