Um, yeah, I I started similarly and I still write a lot of dark tunes, but those aren’t the ones that I choose to put out in the world because I feel there is a greater light beyond that’s that’s meant to be highlighted, that’s meant to be shared. So these days, I really do whenever I feel like I’ve learned a lesson, that’s when it’s a great time to write a song. felt good and they there there’s millions of them. Idea of a of being a conductor bringing attention to nature as music or the their song as as a powerful musical expression. [Music] [Music] I I I read what you said how um the the language of the world is in English brought a smile and I I I so resonated with that. Yeah. There it is. I think the universal language of the world is nothing but a smile. [Music] [Music] I mine is a very very similar story. When when we’re given help, when we’re given support to be artists, it can’t it it has to transform you because someone says, "Okay, here you’re free." No more hustle, just make music. You become so full of gratitude. At least that’s been my experience. So very very [Music] similar. A minor. Yeah. A minor. Oh advanced, man. Maybe D or something. Maybe D and G [Music] is I don’t know. But every time I would learn a new chord, I write a new song. [Music] Yeah. That’s come over, you know, many years. I when I first started playing, I would just mute the sound, you know, cuz I didn’t want to play loudly the wrong strings. And then it’s just come through time to be able to uh to try to focus on more specifics. And and actually th for me, this is the first album, Love is a four-letter word, where I’ve been able to sneak some melody into the song, not just vocally. Um to sneak the the vocal melody into the guitar playing, you know, like I won’t give up. be like I won’t give up on this even if the sky so that little bit you know it took me you know a decade to learn how to incorporate the guitar to really blend the guitar into the voice you know when I started playing guitar I was 18 which I felt was late a lot of kids had already been playing you know a lot of people 18 are playing guitar we’re already good. And here I was just trying to get something to work. And I told myself, just keep going because when you’re 40, you’re going to rock. So, I’m going to give myself 22 years until I’m 40 to suck. I give myself permission to suck. And then if I haven’t made it by the time I’m 40, great. No big deal. I’ll move on and try find a different career. But odds are when I’m 40, even if I haven’t made it, I’m going to be pretty good at the guitar because I played it for 22 years. So that’s been my philosophy. Now I’m 35 and I’m almost 40 and I’m thinking not bad, you know. [Music] [Applause] Heat. Heat. I [Music] still play guitar. Talking about the future, talking about me and [Music] you [Music] moment, [Music] flo everything we’re grateful for. I’m grateful [Music] for [Music] my blood.
