1. Sure they might have been trainees, they were fluent in English but we're not sure if they actually KNEW what the word was, there's no apology yet, or no response
2. And it is just a song, they didn't even say it to anyone but, the problem is someone is leaking the blackpink pre debut vids, it also damages blackpink and could even reveal personal info for their trainee era too.

It’s crazy that after all these years of your favorite idols stealing from and profiting off Black culture, you’d think their fans would have some respect and hold them accountable. I wasn’t even upset when I saw the video, but the blatant racism and disrespect from their fandom is disgusting.
“They’re not a native English speaker” the worst plea of defense to me. As of now, Jisoo is the only member that hasn’t been leaked saying the slur. So to use their language as an excuse, it’s beyond incompetent and pathetic. Were they young, yes.
I can see them being young, being coerced to say the word. Yet, as public figures they can’t escape much criticism. As many were offended, and I think those fans that do love them, should get an apology. If not mistaken, they left YG. So it’s not as if they can’t make space to take accountability for saying what they did, expressing why, and move on.
Also, Thailand and New Zealand… have both notably confronted racism, slurs, racial aggressions, etc. So if they weren’t “forced” to say it, and did it on their own accord, it’s not like they didn’t get the words meaning. they were trainees and trainees usually sing cover song of other artists. and the songs are originally made by western artists?black community Artists, so they used the N word in their og songs and blackpink was only doing covers while singing as a trainee at that time. I don't know why the Leaker is making a big deal out of it.
